i don’t think this is necessarily true. it’s not in the gif set but ellen says before this, “what are our girls aspiring to?” The girls that typically come into our store looking for a zero or double zero are very short petite girls, not by choice but by nature. And let me tell you, they are NOT proud of their size. They are embarrassed and shamed that they don’t have a “shape.” I treat them with as much respect as the girls who ask for a size 12. (We don’t go higher than 12, and I think that’s a problem too).
as much as i hate fat shaming, i think “slim”-shaming is a problem too.
